This series has as its inspiration the quiet back roads of upstate New York, in a stretch of low hills and rolling farmland near the Catskill Mountains. Though only hours from big cities, the region retains a surprising amount of rural character. It is this spirit, which could (and should) be preserved, that I seek to capture, whether in characters and quiet moments observed or in relics discovered in old fields.
