Elizabeth Jameson is a Seattle-based artist who does sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, performance art, and costume design. She has a BA from Western Washington University and an MFA from Mills College, where she received the Jay De Feo award for outstanding MFA graduate. She has shown extensively in the US and Europe. Notable shows include a solo show, “Splendorform” at the Henry Art Gallery; a performance, “You Are Not Welcome Here” in Vienna; and “Softly Threatening: Artwork of the Modern Domestic” at Bumbershoot 2006. She has attended artist residencies at the VBKO in Vienna, Villa Montalvo in Saratoga, and at Centrum in Port Townsend, Washington. She received Best-of-Show awards at the Pacific Northwest Art Councils juried show in 1999 and at the Bellevue Art Museum auction in 2001, and has been awarded fellowships from the Herringer family foundation, the San Francisco Foundation, and Villa Montalvo. She has been a member of the Seattle Arts Commission, the Greenwood Arts Council, and Soil Artists Cooperative. Her work is in the collections of the Henry Art Gallery, the Mills College Art Museum, the City of Seattle, Neiman Marcus, and the St. Regis Hotel. She is represented by Fetherston Gallery in Seattle.
