Jane Burns attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York where, in 1979, she received her Bachelor of Arts in English. Since then she has not only authored several books for children - three in publication - but has established herself as a visual artist of some note. Her work has appeared in approximately twenty solo and group shows in the Northwest, Chicago, and New York state.
